After Performance: Refill the energy reserves!

Traditionally, mash was fed to hard working horses, in order to recover their strength quickly yet not stressfully for their digestive tract.
In recent years mash has often been fed as a warm, rewarding meal to old horses with dental problems or in change of coat. The composition of Ludgers P MASH | REGENERATION was guided only by what is best for the horse. It is composed of cereal and pea flakes together. Dried carrot flakes enhance the taste of the mash naturally, thus supporting the horse’s acceptance of the mash in stressful situations.

We consciously left out:

  • artificial aromas
  • wheat bran, which allows the daily feeding of the mash without disturbing the balance of calcium and phosphorous
  • molasses, to avoid feeding the horse unnecessary amounts of sugar
  • herbs, because they ought to be fed specifically and individually adjusted to each horse

Ludgers P MASH | REGENERATION – without linseed?

High quality linseed certainly belongs to a ration of mash. However, crushed linseed spoils easily. As a whole unaltered grain they would end up in the bottom of the sacks and not be mixed with the rest of the mash anymore. Also, linseed needs to be boiled, in order to achieve an unproblematic digestion.
That is why we are currently developing our own linseed: Ludgers P LINSEED | DIRECT. By means of a special treatment (boiling and drying) we found a horse-friendly, high quality compromise.
Add 100 – 300g of linseed to the mash ration, shortly before feeding.
